Anna is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her training at Bethel Seminary in 2005. She is a Minnesota native, but after having lived in Northern Lower Michigan for 10 years, she finds herself claiming that beautiful land as a "second home state."
Anna has experience working with all ages, children through the elderly, individuals, couples and families. Her treatment approach is eclectic, utilizing pieces of narrative, solution-focused, attachment, art, imago and experiential therapies, as well as incorporating mindfulness practices. Anna is trained to offer EMDR, and works with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger and relationship difficulties. In addition, Anna is advanced certified through EAGALA to facilitate Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
A belief Anna holds is that healing is possible for all, that it is simply how people are wired. In addition, just as people see the doctor for preventative care and treatment when not well, everyone could benefit from the same loving care toward their own mental health and the health of the most important relationships in their lives.
When she is not working, Anna enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 kids, dog, cats, geckos and bird. She is also an avid photographer.
