Emily Bell MA, ATR, LPCC
Emily is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist. She provides telehealth sessions for adults and adolescent clients ages 12 and up. She has specific training in accelerated resolution therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and expressive art therapy techniques. Utilizing a variety of therapeutic tools, allows Emily to tailor her approach to the unique needs of the individual. Emily is an LGBTQIA+ ally and has witnessed how being marginalized contributes to overall stress.
When working with Emily expect a warm, down to earth, judgment-free environment; in addition to the occasional dose of humor. She believes that individuals are the expert of their lives and that her job is to help clients achieve their goals by utilizing a strengths-based, relational approach to therapy. Emily graduated from the University of Minnesota with an undergraduate degree in Art History and subsequently went on to earn her master’s degree in counseling psychology and Art Therapy from The Adler Graduate School. She has worked as a therapist in emergency shelters, schools, outpatient clinics, and community centers. She has experience with clients from ages 7 through adulthood. She considers it an honor to facilitate emotional wellness, growth, and connection in others.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Emily enjoys making art, being with family, kayaking, and hiking. In addition, she aspires to reduce stigma related to mental health in her community.
We are located near the intersection of Zachary Lane & Weaver Lake Road in Maple Grove. We are easily accessible to those in the surrounding communities of Osseo, Rogers, Plymouth, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Champlin, and Minneapolis.
