Pamela Nelson, MA., LMFT
Pam is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist who excels at helping those who may feel as though they have lost their way. Navigating the challenges and changes that present themselves at various stages of our life is often scary and overwhelming. Pam focuses on working together with you, to develop strategies that allow you to address the root cause and barriers to feeling lost or stuck.
Pam works with adolescents, adults, couples and families who are seeking support with depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma and conflict resolution. Pam utilizes a systemic approach to therapy with an emphasis on person-centered, structural, experiential, trauma informed CBT and DBT. She is trained in Trauma focused CBT ( TFCBT) , DBT and motivational interviewing. She draws on her past experiences working in residential treatment facilities, in-home care, hospitals and outpatient settings to create an approach that is best suited to each individual.
When not at work, Pam enjoys getting outside and doing something active, playing with her dogs and spending time with family and friends.
